One fateful Sunday morning in November of 2023, Stephen McDonald and Madison Hope shared the Trailhead stage at the Ozone Songwriter Festival in Mandeville, LA. Led by their passion for writing and sharing songs inspired by mutual faith, the two met and were moved by an unexplainable, undeniable pull towards each other. Shortly after the festival ended, they began their relationship in the same manner all good things begin-with a delicious cup of coffee and a walk in the park.

Following a time of deep conversation, soulful connection, and rich prayer, it was abundantly clear that they had been brought together by the Holy Spirit and that He was leading them to make the ultimate commitment. Four months after walking up the stage as two, they walked down the aisle as one, singing in the midst of their marriage ceremony:

The McDonalds continue to write, not two separate stories, but one; testifying to the mercy and grace found in Jesus, who delivered them from the kingdom of darkness and empowers them to walk together in the kingdom of light, sharing their gift of music with sincere hearts in order to share the ultimate gift-peace with God through Jesus Christ.
